He Knows

We need to know and obey God, since He created us.

So, in order to obey to God, we must fulfill His commands and avoid his prohibition. You know, when you come to a place, there's gotta be 'do's and 'don't's right?

So which one is easier?

Obviously it depends on people. But we all can relate to that, doing something that is being told is easier than NOT doing something that is prohibited.

This is because of, at least, 2 reasons;

1. You like it.
You simply just like it.
Like, genuinely like it.
It just comes from your heart.

2. It is forbidden.
"The more things are forbidden, the more popular they become." - Mark Twain
Forbidden things do have their own charms, making themselves desirable.
This is why we all can relate to that.

As we live this life, we will always, constantly, being tempted to leave our obligations and commit prohibitions.
The temptations may vary. But
we all have been there, coming to a point where we like it and wanted to do it so much, or we already did it that we keep doing it, that we feel like screaming,

"God, why did you forbid this? Don't you know I like this? Don't you know I love this? How come doing this can bring me further from you? Just let me do this, just this one thing."

1. He knows.
He knows everything. Why do you think He doesn't know it?
He knows you love it to your heart content's.
He knows if you can, you would say your prayers every single say, just for Him to grant you permission to do it.

But that does not change the fact that He forbids it.
And it is your obligation and responsibility to follow, as He is your God.

That is the most basic thing you need, and I believe you do, understand.
If you choose anything over Him, than you are not doing your job. You are not good with your job. There will be punishments, just like there will be rewards for people who did good.

2. Whatever you want, you will not want it after some time.
Try to think the last time you really, really, really want something.
Maybe you had already got it, or you just decided to move on after not getting it for a long time, or just for the simple fact that you don't like it anymore.
Either way, you don't want it anymore.

I know this is not applicable to all of our desires. There are things that we do genuinely want, and we could wait even a thousand years for it.
But most of the things that we do want, are desirable only for a short period amount of time.
It's an illusion. And God does not want you to fall into that.
Chasing what you want constantly, with your desires also changing constantly.
An endless, pointless marathon.

3. Whatever that you are talking about, are gonna be gone anyway.
They will die out. You yourself will die. And that time may be anytime.
So instead of focusing what you should do and get in this world, isn't it better to focus on what you should prepare to meet Him? That's logical, right?

4. He has better things for you, if you do a good job.
Like I said, there will be rewards for people who did good.
And I also said that He does know everything that you love and like. Trust me, He'll give you way better.
So you need to be patient. Life is too short anyway.

Make efforts to leave those things because of Him. Make efforts to leave those things because He said so. Make efforts to leave those things if you believe in Him and you need Him. Don't worry, He's not expecting perfections. He's expecting to see how far are your efforts to come to Him, to show that you need Him.

He loves you and He has showered you with His love.
Now you need to show that you love Him too, because you need Him and his love.
So that He will always continue to show His love to you.

Remember that you are here, in this Earth, as a slave and servant.
You live based on His mercy and love.
So show that you love Him too.
Then you will receive what is right to be yours, and whatever you wish to be yours.
