Everyone has their own dreams.
More importantly, everyone wants to live their dreams.
But did they?
Most children do.
Most young lads are confused with their dreams.
And of course, most adults don't.
When we were children, imagination was limitless.
Slowly, as time goes, we learned that reality wouldn't always make our dreams easily come true.
In fact, most of the time, our dreams won't make it.
When we were teens, maybe we already had in mind about what we want to do in our lives.
But most of our ideas are influenced by so many external factors.
Friends, parents, parents and basically other people.
So we ended up getting confused of what we actually want.
So, when we become adults, we believe that 'dream come true' is just a fantasy and we finally accept our fate, living just to survive and try to find external source of happiness; job, family, entertainment, etc.
I disagree with this. And you should too.
Notice that I said, everyone wants to LIVE their dreams.
This means that, even if you're dead, maybe your dream won't come true.
But who cares what happen after we die?
The most important part here, is that we get to LIVE to pursue our dreams, until we die.
So, what we should do to live our dreams?
1. Make it specific.
As we grow up, actually it should be easier to plan our dreams, as we get to know more about the world, and get more and more control onto ourselves.
At least, it is supposed to be.
So, using the available knowledge within ourselves, try to have a detailed plan about your dreams and especially, how to achieve it.
2. Gain more knowledge.
Now, based on your detailed plan, explore more knowledge about whatever it takes to make it come true. And knowledge can be obtained through many ways.
By meeting people, reading, experiencing things and many more.
As you know more about your dream, this will help you to get your dreams closer to reality.
3. Be around the right people.
Right people = people who can provide what you need, and people who really try their very best to help and support you
Build good relationships with these people. You dream may come true sooner that you think.
4. Dare to fail.
Reality, as we always know, is harsh. It is true that reality wouldn't always make our dreams easily come true. It needs hard work, courage and tons of failures. And it is normal. Not to mention, when you fail, there will always be people condemning and try to persuade you to just let go of your dreams.
So, if you are too scared of mistakes, rejection and humiliation, then sorry, living up your dreams is not for you. Please continue your life as it is.
5. Start now.
Plan now and start now. From whatever do you have now. Think about what you can do now.
As you start, you will see paths that will help you to carve your own path to fulfill your dreams
So, even if you have the least resources, or if you are the busiest man on the Earth,
if you really do want to live your dreams, start NOW.
Okay, maybe not exactly right now. I need you to read this until the end.
Now, listen up. Living up your dreams is a big thing. And we, humans, are born with the ability to uphold so many responsibilities. If we work hard and smart enough.
So your dream must better be worth it to fulfill.
So is it worth it?
Well, try to answer these questions.
Will it bring you closer to God?Ultimately, we are seeking for God's acceptance as we continue to live.
So ask yourself, will He be pleased with whatever I am doing?
Will this dream will make me engage constantly with Him?
Will this dream be a good deed that I can show to Him, as my sign of obedience to Him?
Will He actually help me to pursue my dreams?
Will it bring benefit to the world?
All of those hard work, and you are going to enjoy it by yourself? No way.
Doing things that you love is a thing.
Doing what you live, to help others, is another thing. It is the better, and as far as I am concerned, the best one.
All of your efforts to make your dreams come true will be totally worth it if it can bring goodness to the world, especially in the current world where evil comes in various types and disguising in different people.
That's it for now. Good luck on chasing your dreams!
