Surviving in this world is tough. Do we need to be the good guy, or the bad guy?
You see, good or bad is something that is within our hearts. No matter how people see you, there is no way for people to decide if you're good or bad. Only you know it by yourself.
Even if you commit hundreds of wrongdoings, people can only
assume you are bad. Not
decide.
And this also works vice versa.
If you do hundreds of good things, people will, of course, assume that you are good. But nonetheless, it is only an assumption.
So, back to our question, how to survive in this world, let alone being successful?
By being good or being bad?
Try to think about this.
Every time we see a show/movie/etc, villains are always being portrayed as the smart ones.
Yeah sure, the good guy will win at the end, but still the villains will look super smart and cool while the good guys are being submissive.
The villains' minds are always thinking of plans. While the good guy only plans and acts according to what the villains are doing.
And even if the good guy win, it is usually by force, a.k.a fighting.
Real life doesn't work that way.
Neither the good or the bad wins. The
smartest ones instead will win.
Things won't work out by using force. Even if it did, it will usually take a long time, like you know how we waited until the end of the 3 hours movie for the villains to finally be defeated 'coolly' by the good guy.
But in reality, in order to survive and succeed, we need to be smart.
Whether you are as kind as an angel, or as bad as the devil, you won't survive and you won't succeed if you are not smart enough.
In this world, things have laws, rules and procedures. To survive, you need to either follow them or manipulate them. Or both.
This is essentially how we survive and make achievements.
Survival does not favor the good or the bad. Sorry for the harsh truth. We need to be smart.
Be smart or be gone.

p/s: Things like philosophy, morality, divinity and religion do have a big impact on how can we survive in this world, or even how we view life as a whole. And I am not denying that. This is just the very basic logic of survival and success in the world. The very primitive one, shall I say. And I am writing this to give a new perspective on how we should live our life.
