Story of X, Y and Z

This happened in front of me.

A guy (X) met another guy (Y). Y told X about a medicine that he took, which he claimed to be very effective. X believed him and bought the medicine from him.

Then X met another guy (Z). X told Z about the medicine. Then Z told X the very opposite thing from Y. The medicine was not effective and dangerous. The 'effectiveness' that Y felt was actually temporary. Y advised X not to take the medicine. And Z don't want to tell Y about it because Y was doing business with the medicine, so he don't want Y to be offended.

I need to remind you here that X, Y and Z are very close friends.

So... what should X do? Which one is correct?

Believe it or not, this is what happen in our daily life.

People all around us keep telling contradicting things. It is hard to do what is right when you don't know the truth.

Like most of the people, you maybe also wonder, what will X do?
But for me, I wonder more, what kind of attitude that X should show in this situation?

And like I said before, this happened in front of me.
I watched X politely thanking them both.
He did not attack Y for 'lying to him'. And he did not abandon Z's opinion either.
He appreciated both of them and their opinions.

This satisfied me.

Listen up.

People tell you things because they want you to believe what they believe is right. They want you to be right, regardless of what they tell you.
So appreciate them. Thank them.
And then use your brain to think for yourself, which one is the correct one.

People who don't tell you things at all, are not good people.
People who tell you things, whether right or wrong, want good in you.
It is up to you to decide which one is wrong and which one is right.

If your friends are right, it is better to go along, right?
And if your friends are wrong, then it is your job to tell them what is right. And it is their job to think and reflect of their actions.

Be thankful and be thoughtful.
