Happiness in Us and Others

All of us, want to be happy, right?

Thus we tend to think that being happy means finding it within ourselves.

While most of the time this is right, sometimes we forget that happiness can be found in others.

Maybe we think we will be happy when
all of our needs are fulfilled,
we are entertained enough,
and when we have everything.

But what about others?
What about their needs?

Helping people out to be happy can also bring out happiness within ourselves.
Let's not forget that.

Of course it is totally crucial for us to take care of ourselves first before taking care of others.

But it only takes a little part of this world to take care of ourselves.
More specifically, a little part of what belongs to us.

I used to wonder, why God created such a world that there are people who are always lacking of everything, even their basic necessities,
and in contrast, there are people who are overloaded with things that they own but they don't need.

Now I know, it is simply because, other than to teach humans to make full use of their available resources, whether plenty or little, to live,
it is also because many things that we own, all may not be for us.

We need to learn to help people with whatever resources that we can (not just by material).

If we are able to take of ourselves and others,
that is what will make us happy.
