Why I Blocked All of My Social Media Notifications

Image
Today, social medias are things that we are never going to escape from. It is very hard nowdays to find people who don't have social medias at all, and even these people will not escape from them, because they will usually pop out on others' social medias. Although the claims of the benefits of social medias, like strengthening relationships and easing communication, seem valid, it seems like the disadvantages of social medias won us over. We had became more anti-social, we take communication for granted, online communication brings a lot of misunderstanding & miscommunication, and maybe one of the biggest disadvantages, we become addicted to them. We will post things and constantly check for likes & comments. Every time a notification of someone liking or commenting on your posts pops out, you get a dopamine rush in our body. Dopamine is basically a 'reward hormone' in your body. So basically what it means it, you will feel rewarded every time someone is

Money is not the only thing that you have

Image
One of the top excuses that people make when being asked about not doing what they want to do is: "I don't have the money." achieveproperty.com And that is a legit excuse. Lack of money means lack of opportunities. Lack of sufficient money also means that you need to prioritize yourself to make more money, thus reducing your time and effort to spend on things that really matter to you. I mean, if you don't have enough money, how will you continue to survive on the bare minimum, let alone planning and creating success to the maximum? I get it. You know what, I'll take my words back. It is not an excuse. It is a legitimate issue. I would like to add some more though. Money is not the only thing that you have. I mean, think about it. Yes, you don't have enough money. Life is tough. But that is what you don't have. Look around and see what you do have. A house, a safe one. A spouse, a loyal one. Children, good ones. Friends, reliable one

You Have The Choice To Not Have Choices

"It’s the unspoken truth of humanity that you crave subjugation. The bright lure of freedom diminishes your life’s joy in a mad scramble for power. For identity. You were made to be ruled. In the end, you will always kneel." - Loki I remembered watching The Avengers with my cousins 3 years ago. It was past midnight, and we're the only ones that are awake. Watching while giggling at some of the scenes, trying not to wake anyone. Apart from that, this is the line that I remembered, and can't help but ponder until today. I believe that there is no human being that ever walked on the earth, and not demanding freedom. By default, it is in our bucket list. And the history shows how relevant it is. We can see developing independent countries doing good job in their survival. Then there are still countries in this world, demanding for freedom and independence, and we can see that they are not doing so well. But, still we have plenty of cases that shows that uncontro

We Messed Up. Now What?

We all make mistakes. Big or small. Purposely or unintentionally. We all do them. And those mistakes will always come with consequences that we hate, ranging from just a little hassle to a lifetime regret. That's why they are mistakes in the first place. They can make you feel terrible. They can make you feel like you lost the game. And you know what? You did lost the game. But here's a news for you. Everyone does this. Everyone makes mistakes. Everyone feels bad when they make mistakes. Everyone weeps and mourns for the consequences of their mistakes. Why? Simply because no one is perfect. Mistakes and failures are unavoidable human things that we need to live with. It may sound suck, but it is what it is. So, whenever you did something wrong, big or small, purposely or unintentionally, just ask yourself. "Now what?" It's okay to feel sad, mad and bad for your mistakes. It's okay to give yourself some time to be away from people

"Should I Be Embarrassed To Make Videos?"

Image
yoast.com TBH, this is just going to be a rant. Should I be embarrassed on making contents? Should I be embarrassed in writing new posts? Should I be embarrassed in making videos? I always try to record my videos indoors, so it will be less noisy. But there will be time where I forecast that I may not be able to do it, so I do it during intervals between 2 activities. And usually that will be outdoors. So there will be me alone, with my phone, with the front camera open, and just talking enthusiastically, like a mad girl. Or at the very least, 'syok sendiri' and being a poser. I would edit the videos at my room. That also goes with writing a blog post, like this one. So obviously all of my roomates and housemates can see me with my laptop, with my face taking up 50% of the screen. Or if I'm writing a blog post, they will be able to look what I'm writing. Sometimes, I do it outdoors too. Which means more strangers are possible to look at me and thinking al
