Budaya dalam Organisasi

Image
"Just Say Hi - Live Performance" - Behind The Scenes of My Mind

Image
About a week ago, I had the chance to perform a rap live, as I’ve documented here: (Yes, I will make a proper lyric video, I’m working on it. Pray that God will ease me in doing so.) But what I did not document was the thought process of me consciously making that decision & finally performing. This is what I want to share today. I’ve written the lyrics for quite a long time, and I’ve wanted to perform it so badly. But of course, I cannot help myself but to have all kind of thought. A Muslim girl want to perform a rap? That is highly unusual, in Malaysia at least from what I know. So I cannot help but think, not just about the performance, but from the very first step itself; wanting to perform. “Can I do well?” “Should I do this? “How do I tell people I want to do it?”  “How will people react?” “What if they put low expectation on me? What if they belittle me?” “What if they put high expectation on me? Will I meet their expectation?”  “Can I really to do th

Persaingan menjadi sengit. K

The EyduKaSyun Podcast!

Image
I’m now launching a brand new podcast. It’s call EyduKaSyun. This podcast will be discussing subjects that I’ve learnt in the university. Worth to note, I’m a psychology student, so most of these subjects will be about psychology. So, if you’re a psychology student, this will be a great opportunity for you to learn, when you don’t feel like picking up & reading books. You just plug your earphones in & you’re ready to go! And of course, apart from psychology students, you guys are also welcomed to hear, listen & learn. And obviously, I’m still a baby in making podcasts, so don’t ever hesitate to inform me things that I need to improve. I need it badly, as a matter of fact. So, now that I’ve told you this, I can’t wait to see you guys on the podcast. See ya! Just Say Hi - Live Performance

Image
Alhamdulillah, one thing crossed off my bucket list; performing a rap live. As someone who always view things objectively, I can’t help but to notice every single mistake that I did. I don’t know what to with my hands. I stuttered some lines. My voice that I had intended didn’t come out. I try to look like I’m not just standing still, though I don’t really move. In fact, overall, I didn’t really fancy the performance. But I’m so glad that I did it. And, BTW, YES, I AM going to make a video on this. In fact, I’ve written this & planned to perform it for quite a long time. As it is a very important topic for me, and especially in this era, I believe many people can relate to the lyrics. So, may Allah ease my process in making the video. p/s: So grateful for that boy (on the left) being the hype man! I didn’t deserve it though, but I’m so glad he did it. Thank you! (I believe his name is Iqbal)

Kelemahan Orang Melayu yang Orang Melayu Sendiri Tak Perasan

Image
Apa kelemahan tu? Malah, aku agak teruja n

Cycle of Winning & Cycle of Losing

Image
Have you ever watched that episode of SpongeBob where he breaks his butt while sand-sledding? Yeah, his bottom shattered, and at the hospital, he was told that one more injury like that & he may end up in the "iron butt". So SpongeBob went on "around-the-clock butt patrol," and it seemed like the entire outside world is out to break his butt. So he changed, deciding to stay home forever. As a result, he was transferred from the cycle of winning to the cycle of losing. Think about it. SpongeBob is one of the character I’ve known to take many, many, risks. He did not afraid of almost anything. But, at least in regards to that particular episode, after that accident, he doesn’t go out home, he works from home, and makes friends with inanimate objects. Why? “The world is dangerous.” The same thing could happen to us. No, I don’t mean you can shatter you bottom while sand-sledding & still magically be alive. What I mean is, we humans go through fa

Pakaian Sukan di Malaysia

Image
I’ll go straight to the point. Kalau salah, tolong betulkan. Kalau berbeza pendapat, silalah berlapang dada. Jadi, takkanlah mereka nak langgar peraturan? Tapi, kalau kita tengok, sekarang ni, ramai sahaja atlet Muslim di negara-negara lain, yang pakai pakaian syariah-compliant, dan masih aktif & hebat bersukan. Ja

Ideals Are Not Standard

Image
What is the difference between ideal & standard? Ideal is satisfying one's conception of what is perfect; most suitable, desirable or perfect. Standard is a level of quality or attainment, also used or accepted as normal or average. I’ll give you examples. A 4.0 CGPA is ideal, while a 2.0 CGPA is standard. A monthly salary of 20k is ideal, while a monthly salary of 2k is standard A grave danger will come upon us if we started to treat ideals as standard. As a women, I use to hear this a lot in the feminist perspective, where a woman should not obey to the beauty standards, which are more like ideals than standards. And, whether you are a feminist or not, I bet you can understand & agree with this statement. But, expanding that, we can also see that this applies to all aspects of our lives, not just beauty. There are reasons why standards are standards, and ideals are ideals. We cannot mix the two of them together. In fact, the word 'ideal
