I'm not just talking about the significant other. Our parents, siblings, teachers, friends, we all love them.

But why?

And why we choose to love people?

And why we love certain people in our lives?

You see, humans are being born with the amazing capability to hold many responsibility.

Really, they do.

So, when we fulfill our responsibilities, it shows that we are doing what we are born to do.

And since most of our responsibilities are related to others, how well we are doing our responsibilities will also affect how people treat us.

Simply, if we do our job well, people will approve us.

That is why we love people.

Because love itself is a responsibility.

Yes, we can feel love. Yes, we can do things to prove that we love them.

But why do we do that in the first place?

Because we know that they deserve our love, because of the responsibilities that they had fulfilled towards us.

That's why we love our parents, even though we did not get to choose them before we were born. Because they had fulfill their responsibilities to take care of us and raise us well.

That's why we love our siblings, even though most of the time they just get on our nerves.

Because they had fulfill their responsibilities to accompany us and be our very first friends.

That's why we love our friends, even though they have a bunch of flaws.

Because they had fulfill their responsibilities to help us go through life.

That's why we love our teachers, even though they will force us to do things we did not like.

Because they had fulfill their responsibilities to teach us knowledge.

That's why we love our significant other, even though things are not always beautiful like dramas and movies.

Because they had fulfill their responsibilities to be our other half and to bear burdens with us.

And that is how to get people to love you.

By taking care of your responsibilities.
By putting your efforts into what is necessary.

By doing what you should do.
